For those flicks, it might as well be useless especially since some of those folks only have the player in their laptop and they don't have a stand alone.

Dirt cheap is as next to useless as you can get since they're on clearance sale and once you move on from that laptop you've effectively wasted the money on media that you could have used elsewhere.

Quit with the ignorance.

Lol ignorance? Ignorance would be you...you're ignoring the fact that there are some HD DVD movies that are not on Bluray.

You're ignoring the fact that the HD DVD player will also play DVD's an upscale them (and no I'm not saying they'll look as good as Bluray but they'll definitely look a lot better than normal SD).

You're ignoring the fact that the Bluray library isn't that huge compared to DVD or even HD DVD since both High Def formats have only been out for a few years.

Quite simply you're lying and saying an outright falsehood when you say that the HD DVD player in that laptop is "useless". It can be used. It can be used to play movies.

Thats the only thing that matters.

But if you feel better about yourself and bluray by insulting others who find a lil value in the now dead format then go right ahead.
