There's the cheap Nyko controller that does the same thing, but that uses a USB dongle.

I ordered for $55 on amazon...that's about the best I've seen as well.

Updated: Woops...actually I got it for $50 at amazon when they had it lower in price for a little while...so lucky me I guess.

I know a while back there was a special deal that you could get it for 49 on Amazon. You had to enter some code or something. I wish I would've saved it. Hopefully they'll drop the price on it not too long afterwards. It's pretty stupid to be that high. 5 dollars more and you could buy a new game.

I was afraid there would be a dual shock controller on the horizon. When I bought my PS3 I didn't forsee it so I spent the extra money on an extra controller. Now I'm really wanting the new controller. I'm sort of kicking myself for not waiting for the DS3.

You can probably find them cheaper if you wanna chance ebay. I bought one for like $35, about 6 months ago, maybe longer. works just fine...

Just do what I'm going to do:
Go to Gamestop before DS3 comes out, and trade in the Sixaxis for credit. Then use that credit to pay for the DS3. One Sixaxis per DS3.

Of course your still going to have to pay the difference, but it'll be worth it.

Worth it? I went to my local Gamestop and they were only offering $9.00 store credit for the controller.

I would keep the extra sixaxis.....BUY a duel shock....so theres your back up...anything happens to any of your controllers...you have a extra to tide you over...DONT sell to gamestop and get ripped off
