Minecraft on PS3-December 17th - Blu-ray Forum

Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition will be available to download from PSN on December 17th in North America. Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition and Minecraft: PS Vita Edition are also being developed, but we don’t have release dates yet. Expect them sometime next year.

Tempting. I don't know if I should hop in right away or not. I bought Terraria a few weeks back on sale for $3.75 and have been playing every day since, it's super addicting, but Terraria comes out for Vita tomorrow too. I've never played Minecraft, and at the time, I'd never played Terraria, so maybe I'll like Minecraft. I don't know, maybe I'll wait on both.

This is a newbie question. My son who is 8 plays minecraft on the PS3 and was asking if there is "Mods" to purchase for the PS3 version. Is there any available? I saw skin packs but no "Mods".. Any help would be great as I have no clue about Minecraft.. lol!

Not to my knowledge. Mods are not made for consoles because of all the restrictions they have.

I have the newest updated version but the game doesn't freeze but will constantly restart my PS3. It seems to do this every 10 -15 minutes. No other games I have on the PS3 have this problem except this one. Anybody else having this issue? Any solutions to fix this?

I would delete and download again

I have the phyiscal game copy. Do you mean delete the game and all minecraft files on the PS3? And then reinstall the game?

Thought it was a download copy but yeah, thats about all you can do.
