American Gangster Problem loading??? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys . anyone have probs with their american gangster. I bought mine from blockbuster , took it home , put it in and it took somewhere in the area of 45 min loading with the progress bar on the screen before I had enough and turned it off. I took it back to blockbuster , swapped it for another , put it in the player, and the same thing happened. I checked my firmware updates on my player and its almost up to date. Only one update short from being up to date. I have the sony BDP S300 and never had a problem with it. I then put another blu ray in the player to test the player. I robot, which I know works fine. It started to play no problem, but it still had the loadiing progress bar from American Gangster on it as the film played???

What the hell.........

Any suggestions are very welcom.

Call MacGuyver or buy a PS3 to make things easier.

My movie froze about an hour into it.
I had the same problem with Sara Marshall. I think its something with Universals movies.
Buy the way I have PS3 with all the updates.

i had no problem with the disc loading but the film froze about an hour into the film aswell

you explained your own issue, UPDATE the firmware to version 4.20 and you will be worry free for awhile

Universal's "other HD" movies did the same thing...(freeze up) I have not had any problem's with there Blu's. Update your firmware! Hope you get it working

Mine was skipping and lagging, but found out it was a firmware problem...fixed!!
