If they survive, it officially makes it the worst movie ever

Why is that (not that I disagree, just was curious...)?

I'm also pretty sure they're dead and filmmakers will keep that way. cloverfield 2 will be told from a different perspective, more hollywood like I guess. Think Godzilla.

1) has a cloverfield 2 been confirmed?

2) i thought about that after the movie ended. Like a version of the movie from the military's perspective where, the kids from the movie might make an appearance for a few moments but have no impact on the film from this perspective. That could be really cool...

They Nuked NYC. No way they would be alive. Although theres no way the Camera would have survived enough to be able to view, but it did

They lived under the rubble, got severely irradiated, mutated and now will fight monster with newly acquired mutant powers.
IMHO one of the stupidest monster movies ever made with the most annoying and stupid characters.

only redeemable character was the camera guy. The girl was pretty hot though. Definitely a pass for blu-ray though.

ok it hasn't been confirmed but it's the idea filmmakers were throwing around in one interview I read. It would be neat though... I was thinking the same thing what you said about quick glimpse of the original cast in the 2nd movie.

Agreed. Over-hyped rubbish, and I was really looking forward it. I'm not even remotely curious or interested in a sequel though. Watching these alternate endings reminded me of how much I actually hated this movie.

Maybe the sequel will be a complete movie.

I had a lot of anticipation for Cloverfield, but the movie left me feeling like they didn't give it the attention it deserved.

Empty characters/acting, lack of action, Blair Witch filming, too much setup for little return, etc.

Might of been me, but it felt like the story was really about the party and the people there and not the monster.

Oh I love her and I messed up---and by the way, some stupid monster is tearing up the city and ruining our relationship. The end.

Yes, a sequel has already been oficially greenlit with both director Matt Reeves and writer Drew Goddard set to return.

I liked the monster, it looked different from what we usually see.. godzilla in ten different variations.
