this is the memory lane for the PLAYSTATION
(could be sticky .maybe )

remember something ?...share it here.
like the time when u got stuck on a game for months .

mine was in one of the resident evil episodes where u have to combine 2 medallions or coins one with a wolf figure and one with an eagle to a book .but nothing happened and there was nothing else to do in the game .
it took me MONTHS to find out that after u do that u have to turn the book to one of its sides before it gives u a message that allows u to open it and take " something " that will allow u to continue on ur way.

why do i remember those " stuck times " more than anything else ??

another example . in Dino crisis ,when u r assembling the instrument ( forgot what it is ) i got stuck for months with no apparent reason . only to find out that i have to go back to the room where u get the sick employee (after u have been their and that employee doesn't give u the card key ) because when u leave he( or she ) gets killed and u can come back and take what u need from his body .the only cue that he was killed after u leave the room is a single sound that u wouldn't know where it came from but turns out to be the sound of the bullet ( ps1's audio for u ).

I remember when I first got the original Playstation. I think I was 8, and I got Destruction Derby with it. Oh the fun I had. Once Gran Turismo came out though, I new that the little Playstation will be around for a while. fast forward to now, being 21 and waiting for GTA4. Gaming technology has evolved so much.

I remember buying the PS1 from a friend for $75. It came with this game called "Wild 9" which was pretty cool. Wouldn't mind playing it again, but I gave all that old PS1 stuff to my brother.

I also remember this thing I had on the back of it in the parallel port, similar to a game shark... except I'm sure what everyone can figure out what it did. The lid of my PS1 was always up! :-) Man, it's different now actually having money to buy games!

Remember the wired controllers?? lol, its so nice without them. I remember everyone always tripping over it and it ripping it out of my hand. Once someone walked in to the wire and knocked my PS2 off the shelf and it fell 4 feet to the ground. The disc had a nice laser line scratch on it and never worked again....but the PS2 worked and still does.

My college roommate bought a PS1 and I used to play Warhawk on it! My first PS1 I snagged FF7 and beat it in 4 days straight, shuting off the system to prevent overheating. Missed some classes. hahah

PS2 I did NOT get opening night despite waiting in line. I did luck out and snag it a few weeks later when I walked into a BBY and saw someone at the checkout with a 'cool looking box', which led to me running to the back of the store where they had a pallet waiting.

the first memory i have of the PSX was when my friend and his brother and i took the bus to Electronic's Boutique to pick up the console on release day. no lines, no nothing, he preordered it, and this was before the internet hype machine. they didn't have extra controllers so my friend bought a 3rd party one. we got ridge racer, mortal kombat 3, and battle arena toshinden. oh man, i remember hooking it up for the first time and we were like woah!!!!!!!!! the graphics!!!! they had a demo disc with a t-rex on it that i thought was so cool.

as for resident evil, i remember dropping the controller when i met the first zombie in the hallway... i also remember screaming like a little girl when the dogs jumped through the windows... ahhhh.... i love resident evil.

one of the best games ever. first time thru it i spent a disproportionatly large amount of time and "gil" leveling up aeris since she wasn't very strong. then she gets stabbed, i was pissed.

Having tournaments playing need for speed for the ps1.
Playing FF7 for about a month and then the freind with the memory card just moved away overnight and I had to start all over. My cousin played about 5 minutes of that game but watched me play prety much the whole thing.

When I was young I remember the punishment my father endured to my ps2... either forcefully push the disk in, to causing it to fall time after time...

Anyone else remember the original GTA PC demo? Cheesy overhead view. I used to blow up a lot when the cops shot the tanker truck.

LOL

You puppy, I was around when the original Pong came out.

Talk about kick @ss times.

Today's PS3 and the long awaited arrival of MGS4 has me just as excited today at the ripe old age of 40 as I was when I was just cutting my first permanent teeth playing Pong.
