Default Which PS3 case?

I will be going to Europe for couple of months and will be carrying my PS3 with me. I was wondering which PS3 case would offer the best protection since I plan to put my PS3 in my check-in baggage. I am looking for a case that is sturdy and offers room for the console, controllers and cords. Any help here would be appreciated.

You might want to seriously consider carrying this on. I know some people who have had electronics "misplaced" from checked luggage that were inspected by TSA....

I just wouldnt period... Too many horror stories and Ive had a few things broken even though they were in a case surrounded by clothes and other items. I fly at least once a year overseas for the past 10 yrs...

But if you really insist... I would travel as a carry-on rather than check-in. Therefore it is in your possession at all times, you take through security in any PS3 travel bag that you can pick up at a local BB or CC. Most airline allows 1 carry-on and 1 personal item, so you just have to cut down on other stuff.

Usually carry-ons have a weight limitation so you'll have to have very little else than the PS3 with you.

I fly every 6 weeks on business.

Do not pack the PS3 as checked luggage.

Just don't do it. Don't ever pack any expensive electronics on a checked bag. If they are broken or your bag is lost, the airline does not and will not reimbursey ou.

Carry it on. You're usually allowed one carry-on and a small tote (think small purse). Check with your airline to make sure and to find out the dimensions of the allowed bags.

Finally, pack your PS3 one overhead behind you so no one can walk off with it.

You're allowed two carry-ons. Use one of the two just for your PS3. I'd wrap it in a beach/bath towel and put it in a backpack.

Problem solved.

Thanks a lot guys........

My backpack has enough space, so the PS3 will go in the backpack. I will have to take it out along with my laptop for the security screening.

If at all you must use a case, let's hope you can just carryon... Here is a case that looks pretty solid. It's a hardcase, I'm not sure if you can lock it or not. But, it's less expensive than other cases. Perhaps you could get the airport people to consider this as a carryon. http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-3-...8635025&sr=8-2
