As you will have noticed, the PS Store re-launched successfully today, and we'd like to thank you for your positive feedback.

We are aware that many of you have experienced delays whilst the PS Store's thumbnail icons are being downloaded. This is a temporary consequence of a new system implementation and high global traffic levels, and will be resolved within the next few days.

Thank you for your patience and continued support!

All the best,

Well last night the load time was 1/2 of what it was on the day I updated, now its only 3-5 minutes per page of icons.

what's funny is it would load a bunch of icons but not neccessarliy the page you are one. I would wait for half the icons on one page only to try another page and all the icons would be loaded.

I thought the new store needs work. Too hard to find anything. I spend 15 minutes looking for the EyeCreate for the PS Eye. Who would have thought it'd be classified as a Game - Family...

The icons are woeful too. Like there is no caching implemented at all. Each time you go to the page it re-downloads them.

I'm sure they'll fix it eventually.

The good thing is you can go to the next page without waiting for the icons to load like the last store..

Actually they way they have games can be classified with multiple tags so they can appear in multiple places, im very sure ps eye games were under ps eye games.

The main issue is the PS store for EU/AU is horribly categorized compared to US store.

IM sorry to hear about your troubles with yalls ps store in europe.

From ps3 fanboy.
http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/04/17/...ms-once-again/
"The list of grievances Europe is holding against SCEE seems to be growing by the week. A new thread on the official European PlayStation forums demonstrates the various areas in which SCEE is underachieving in comparison to SCEA. While everyone seems happy with the design of the new PSN Store, which went live recently, European PS3 owners seem annoyed at the weird categorisation system used on the EU version. There's no "demos" section, requiring you to search through each game in turn to see whether it has a demo available or not.

Not only that, but there's no "preview" button on the European Store, which means that there are no video previews of games. Other annoyances include a lack of decent content, games appearing late (or never at all) compared to their US releases and the lack of a real European PlayStation.Blog. It looks like the members of the official forums aren't going to take it anymore. But will SCEE listen? Sadly, we doubt it."

The slow loading icon problem seems to have been fixed, at least in the US store anyway. I was on this morning and all icons loaded up within a few seconds. Very easy to navigate and looks great too!! Nice job sony, wel done.

The store was lightning fast last night... I'm guessing the servers are being load balanced, and the content is being synced up among the many national datacenters and such.

Nah they just plug them all into one ps4, located somewhere on the equator to take care of all traffic, and it chokes connections from folks outside Sony's World Map.

Sony's World Map = America, Europe, Canada, and Japan

Many raids for this unique device called ps4... have occurred but it has defended itself so far.
