Default Night Watch (2004) and Day Watch (2006)?

With Timur Bekmambetov's awesome looking WANTED coming out this summer (and setting him up for mainstream success), anyone think that Fox will release the first 2/3 of his amazing trilogy on Blu-ray? If there's ever been a candidate for reference quality special effects and style in HD, these two films would surely be them! I mean, how many films would have the balls to have subtitles that literally bleed off the screen? If you haven't seen these movies and are a fan of stuff like MATRIX, UNDERWORLD, or BLADE you'll love these movies! Don't be scared off by subtitles!

I wouldn't hold my breath for a U.S. release of these films any time soon. But who knows, they may be released elsewhere and you can import them.

Only if they release the Russian cut of NightWatch, not just the International Cut with the original Russian language and cool subtitles. I love both these movies, and would snap them up in a second.

These movies were fantastic. Both of them were well above par. I especially loved the second (Day Watch). I have also wondered if FOX would release these. If they did, I would be one of the first in line.

I absolutely loved Night and Day Watch. I would snap them up on Blu for sure. I am also eagerly awaiting Twilight Watch, which is tentative for a 2009 release as it is in production right now.

I would definitely pick up Night Watch and Day Watch on BD, with the Russian cut as part of the seamless branching.

Interesting. I've read all the books from Lukianenko and IMHO those are much better than the movies. Perhaps because of that I didn't like the movies. Even though Lukianenko was involved in writing script it's way too far from the books and not in a good way.
I liked LOTR as a movie much better than the book.

Night Watch and Day Watch is coming to Japan on 7/4. They're region A and will play on U.S. players. They're being sold separately or as a 2-pack.

Fox don`t have right on "Russian cut".
