Aliens vs Predator Requiem, (Problems w/Video)??

Just got my double movie feature, Aliens vs Predator 1 & 2. Any body out there having any video problems with the 2ND movie (Requiem)?? I tried playing it on my Samsung BDP-P1400 and the video doesn't work on both the Theatrical or Unrated version. I get great audio but no video. I then put it in my PS3 and worked fine. Is there any body having the same problem???

is it the digital copy or the blu-ray? Just making sure you have the right disc, then secondly it may be the player

Are your firmware up-dates loaded? Plus, its a Sammy.

But yes, the posters above are correct, Fox movies are notoriously problematic when it comes to playing on Samsung Players, i.e., the 1000, 1200, and the 1400 - if it plays properly on ol' reliable, the PS3 - why not just play it there?

You may become too frustrated in the future for Samsung's shortcomings on their BD players. This will probably keep happening here and there on certain movies.

Cut your losses and Go with a PS3 someday down the road.

I already have 2 60GB PS3s. I play most of my blu-ray movies on them.

I remember reading something about BD+ getting cracked so they had to write new encryption codes or something alone those lines.. The same thing applies to "Alvin and the Chipmunks". That movie is the only time I remember reading PS3 owners where having troubles with.. Soon afterwards we got a new firmware for DTS MA but I betting it also had some playback fixes as well... Just in time for the new AVP.

Good luck with the Samsung.. It can take months before they get around to updating their firmware

Do you have a link for the issue you mentioned? I don't remember reading about any problems with Alvin and the Chipmunks and the PS3. I tried searching but didn't really find anything. It worked fine for me so I'm just curious to see what kind of "issue" they were having.
