Default Outdoor Speakers.

so after trying to use the search button I came up empty on any type of outdoor exterior speakers choices. I did a search over on AVS and it yielded tons of results. my budget was around 100 or so. when my house was built i had it pre-wired for 2 speakers back on the patio its 10x14. I moved in sept of 2007 and well its now may of 2008 and the back yard had been neglected since I have focused on the living room and the HT set up.

the time have come to get some sound out back. after doing some research I settled on a pair of OutDoorSpeakerDepot.com A525's
All-Weather Versatility
. Rigid, Acoustically Inert Enclosure
. 5 1/4" polypropylene woofer
. 1" supernil soft dome pivoting tweeter
. Gold-plated 5-way binding posts
. Power handling: 125W
. Frequency Response 45Hz - 20kHz
. Sensitivity 88db
. Impedance: 8 ohms
. Finishes: White and Black
. Includes swivel bracket mounts
. Unit Dimension: 9.187"H x 6.2"W x 6.375"D
. Unit Weight: 10 lbs x 2 = 20 lbs pack
. 10-year warranty
. Sold in pairs

I wanted a cheap pair of speakers but didn't want a couple of pieces of crap. they have great reviews and should do me just perfect for what i want to use them for. background sound when entertaining out back, BBQ's , Fire Pits, just hanging out in the back. I have not installed them yet,but I will take some pictures once I get them in my hands and hooked up.

the other choice was Polk Audio Atrium 45 All-Weather Speakers
but amazon.com was sold out and I didnt want to spend big bucks for outdoor speakers.

I highly recommend the BOSE 251 outdoor speakers. I have had 2 pairs as my outdoor sound system with nothing but praise for them. Installed them 4 years ago and haven't had an issue at all. The best...rain/snow/sleet/hail/heat

I am 100% anti Bose.
over priced radio shack speakers at best.

but at least yours are treating you well.
and I've already made the purchase on the A525's

I just got an email today they are on backorder but, "should arrive this week" I think they dont stock them and just have them shipped directly from china or some other off shore country. so my response was " I really need these for this weekend might you have a substitute in stock you can send me. I chose your company over XXX brand and now im getting screwed.

in hopes to get the A650's as an upgrade for the same price *crosses fingers*
