Default Uncharted 2 to be in Manmad, India?

interesting thread by another poster at neogaf.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=281793

im sure there will be another uncharted soon, i was just kind of hoping Naughty Dog would make another Jak and Daxter, i really hope that franchise isn't dead.

Uncharted has a ton of hints throughout the whole game, it would be kind of cool for them to drop the major hint of where the sequel will be in the first game.

A perfect setting. I hope they don't add multiplayer though. I'd rather have a kickass single player campaign than an added on multiplayer any day.

or how about both? ps3 has a serious lack of MP games and its one of the worst things about the games. im sick of being only to play a handful of games with my buds not via internet.

True, but would the multiplayer really fit in Uncharted's story and gameplay (aside from online deathmatch)? Uncharted is definately going to be a series. So in game co-op would seem odd (unless if they made a seperate campaign. If they did, then it would probably work). It could be possible, but I just don't think it would suit the game extremely well.
Online deathmatch competitions could work, but since it isn't really a team based game, options would likely be very limited. (Think just deathmatch mode and no capture the flag, etc.)
But if they did add a seperate co-op campaing mode, then multiplayer team challenges could be a possibility.

think outside the box man. don't just do the same crap halo, gears, resistance, COD do, put some totally revolutionary online modes such as something like "treasure hunter" where there is a secret piece of treasure hidden somewhere in a massive online map and players have to use co-op skills to solve puzzles to get to it and they race against another team to do it or a survival type maze where traps are set up all over a map and a player must avoid them, once you die your out, the person or team that make it the farthest wins. of course typical games can be played online too. the same old crap doesn't sell as many systems or games, revolutionary stuff does, that is what made Halo so great even though now its barely a mediocre FPS IMO.

you can of course just do what resistance did with MP and just add another guy on the map. there are multiple places in every scenario to take cover. the trick is they must give the single campaign preference and make the camapign suited more to single player action, but also allow for MP too, unless they are willing to do a R2 and make 2 campaigns one for each type of gameplay.

Yeah this is a real good idea. Instead of halo/resistance where you go online to kill each other....For uncharted it would be cool to team up in co op and find treasures..solve puzzles..and possibly kill pirates together. that would be real cool. Not saying resistance online or call of duty 4 online isnt fun..But yea think different for uncharted ya know...

i think multiplayer could be awesome in Uncharted.

they could do what Insomniac is doing with Resistance 2. and thats two separate campaigns. one solo and one multi.

in the multi you could have 4 player competitive multiplayer storyline where youre all "racing" to find some treasure. think about the possibilities.

Multi-Player FTW.. easily! I want to be able to keep playing the game not just dump it in a closet after Im done.

Residual value ftw!
