It's nice to see Universal getting into the Blu game slowly. 4/22/08 will this hit the stores. Sorry if this is a repost but didn't see anywhere on here.

I would buy it just because its their first release and want to show what theyd could of had in term of sales if they were netural

I can honestly say that I would not touch this title even if it were in a $5 bin somewhere but at least it would mean that the ball was rolling.

"Universal has reconfirmed Charlie Wilson's War for DVD release on 4/22 in full frame and anamorphic widescreen versions. The HD-DVD release has been cancelled and a Blu-ray version is yet to be announced."

I agree. The movie is NOT coming to Blu-ray date and date with the DVD, or they would have announced it. We are all deceiving ourselves if we believe that Universal and Paamount are not trying to get a deal with the BDA. There is always $$$ to be made.

It's more likely they are trying to get $$$ out of Toshiba.

So I rented the dvd and guess what I found on the previews.....a HDDVD ad hahaha poor toshiba!
