Default Another BD strategy: out of print DVDs

Here's an idea if there are any industry people who read this board.
I was looking for a DVD that I can't get new and can't get via Netflix either (Phantasm. I'm a horror fan). I notice that the studio is MGM, a BD supporter. There are a lot of out of print movies the studios could sell on BD and get more people onto BD.

In the not too distant future I'm sure this will become commonplace like it did with VHS & DVD. However this won't happen until some spare capacity starts to appear in the Blu-ray production lines. I think they will keep the big selling movies in DVD as long as it's profitable to keep duplicate inventories.
