Default Freeze Frame!

Does anyone else use the Freeze Frame option or slow things way down on certain films to catch some hot booty, action shots, Cool make-up effects or to stare at a beautiful face in BD HD?

Obviously. Too bad the PS3 can't do reverse playback smoothly.

EDIT: It can! I either forgot or this is a new feature.

I use freeze frame and super-slow-mo all the time while watching Lost. Like when I spy a new Dharma logo or when Mr. Eko sees flashes of his past in the smoke monster!

I also used it when I watch movies my cousins are in. Since I moved from LA to SD I don't get to see them as much as I'd like. So I watch my Nacho Libre BD to see my cousin's son, and last week I rented Splinter (the 2006 one with Edward James Olmos, there are more with the same title) to see 5 of my cousins, 1 was an important character, the rest were extras, but I miss them anyway!

...but I digress. Freeze frame good.

Well, I'm sure that every male uses it. Females on the other hand? Of course they do. After all, the old adage is that women are more perverted than men. They just don't take pride in their dirty thought process and keep themselves from showing the world what they REALLY think about.

Guilty as charged. If the blu-ray disc was like a tape or vinyl record it would be worn on a few spots.

I guess my first time on BD was the leg crossing scene in Basic Instict.

You know the one!

I hear ya... the way Micheal Douglas is smoking that cigarette makes for quite an appealing visual still.

I almost thought this was some news about the old Shannen Doherty movie "Freeze Frame". I watched it when I was younger.

To answer your question though, yes that is 50% of the reason I buy movies. Sure there are some big blockbusters or certain stories I like, but mostly I like to be able to freeze the image or slow mo, or use the zoom. That's what I like about having a disc over cable. Sure on digital cable I can freeze and use slow mo. But slow mo is just one speed on cable which is usually too fast for me and no zoom, not to mention a lower quality.
