Rock Band 2???

I searched and did not find anything, but I read today somewhere. (internet or egm, but think internet) that this fall there would be a rockband 2 coming out. it said all the instruments would be the same w/ nothing added. It would pretty much be just new songs. Has anyone else heard this??

You may have read the article about the disc for rockband, which contains a lot of the downloadable songs for ps2/wii coming out. its 29.99

To answer your question,

a company (I believe Blockbuster) on a release list for gaming wrote in Rock Band 2 for a fall release of this year and since then people have been speculating if this was true....no word from HARMX yet...

Why release another game so quickly? They can rack in the dough with their DLC for now.

They could actually make A LOT more money just releasing songs as DLC. What I wish they could do was just sort of release a patch, or release a purchasable patch that would update game features and basically act as a sequel, along with a huge batch of new DLC.

Think about it. Rock Band had 60 tracks on it. At their average price that's $120 for the music alone. They could really milk the fans better (and come on, that's what it's all about) by doing it as DLC instead.

Ya that makes more sense as they don't really need a new disc w/ the DLC possibilities
