Default What 22" LCD Monitor would you recommend?

I went to BB and CC to check out some monitors, and to be quite honest, I dont see a huge difference between the ones that look nice or just generic (samsung, viewsonic, acer, dell)

So, what are you guy's experience/preference?

I been told to stay away from Samsung as they have shown minor problems before with the pixels.

BTW, this is for desktop obviously. So, no HDTV viewing, or etc etc.

Thanks

Samsung 2253BW

So, what should I really look for? High contrast ratio? Response time?

I shopped around and found a great deal on a Gateway monitor at Best Buy a couple years back, other then damage by my son, it is in great working condition, and love it.
