Fun Stuff
Trivia:Indie film maker Paul Chart ('American Perfekt') was originally signed to write and direct the picture and penned the original script. Chart left the project, however, after a decision was made to shoot the film in 3-D, uncomfortable with the possibility it would become more 'theme park ride' than the epic action-adventure film he envisioned. The Jules Verne novel was apparently one of his favorite pieces of literature. Chart was ultimately replaced with effects specialist Eric Brevig and the script was heavily retooled to emphasize the new 3-D format. more

Think the title was referring to the next one after Hannah Montana, not the next to be released.

I remember seeing this trailer way back with I believe Meet the Robinsons. The trailer claimed it would be the first live-action digital 3-D movie -- I guess it got some serious delays since, not only has it been a VERY long time since the trailer was released, but Hannah Montannah was released before we ever saw this movie come.

I wasn't too thrilled about the trailer. And if they retooled the script to emphasize the 3-D, bad news. After all, don't they learn from the last two 3-D theater failures? 3-D for the sake of 3-D is cinematic death.

It'll be in the Real-D theaters... normal sized screen, but it's a silver screen and a special digital projector.

statikat: it's just you. Unless the photographer did a really bad job...
