Exclamation I am no longer neutral

First of all, I am deaf, my name is Jon, and member of this Blu-ray forum since Jan 2007.

Hello all of you, who is long time member on Blu-ray. You have known that I have been true neutral for long time. I keep my words back in 2005 that I would have both format at the beginning of format war. I was right about it. But I never say that I will be that way through whole of format war.

As of today, November 16, 2007, I have evaluted and how much I have pleased and I am very compfortable as now. I follow what my heart lead me, and what is best for me to go this route. I am no longer being true neutral. I am now exclusive Blu-ray.

AS You have aware that I had started to phased some titles on HD DVD, and you can notice that I have ? mark. All I can say that I will have 9 to 12 HD DVD as compare to large chunk of Blu-ray. I cannot say exact numbers until I have complete it.

Before today, Mission Impossible were HD DVD, so Lethal Weapon 1 and 2, and some titles on Warner Bros, of course Paramounts. They are no longer on HD DVD, it is now in my Blu-ray collection. I was able to grab it while these title from paramount is discontiune. (Lara Croft Tomb Raider and Mission Impossible Ulitmate Collection today at Moviestop after traded in about 27 HD DVD for $307 in store credit and get Blu-ray stuffs torward my store credits).

I am on my way to 100 mark in Blu-ray soon as this weekend or next week.

I am very comfortable and know that Warner Bros will drop HD DVD, no doubt about it.

Only few titles on HD DVD I will hold on, like some Warner Bros and Universal titles, very small.

Most titles will be gone within 4 to 6 days that I previous own 71 HD DVD, it is current in phase out process as I am making announcement that I am now Blu Exclusive supporter.

It will not go away, I will keep it in collection as history. And I feel that I am no longer buying HD DVD, I have only brought one title on HD DVD over last 4 months compare to huge numbers of purchases on Blu-ray.

Fortune for me that I haven't paid price for being neutral, and I havent grieves or complain or gone through 5 stages, which most HD DVD fanboys would gone through, but strange thing is I get more comfortable with format war and I knew which one is best choice. Blu-ray is a way to go.

It is based on how well Blu-ray is selling, picture looks, how I feel about between two formats in my heart, strong titles, and my pruchases this year on format on decision to drop HD DVD and no longer being neutral. That does not mean I am give away add-on or few HD DVD. But what it mean that I am no long make purchases on HD DVD product from this day, Nov 16 2007 and beyond.

I just want let you know that you have me as Blu and no longer true Neutral. Thank you for have me here while I was being true neutral and thank you for let me be part of Blu-ray. You earned me a tremble of respect.

You can see my avatar is no longer HD DVD and Blu, it now only Blu, which is my favorite artcover, Die Hard Collection.

I always stick with facts and truth. I knew it was time to drop HD DVD after two years of true neutral, before format war. Now I knew which one. It sound crazy that I may have been experiement both formats and pick which is best. Yes, it was look like an experiement to me. I enjoyed it alot, but it is time to go Blu-ray as exclusive supporter based on my plan and fincaince plan over next decade, and it is way to go to grow my collections in Blu-ray over year. Of course, it is my first time as being early adopter in this movie market, I am very proud to experience it as being early adopter, it gain my knowledge and see how difficult it can be. I am more comfortable and less worry, and 100% happy with my decision.

So, thank you for listen to my testimony on my decision to drop my status of true neutral and go Blu-ray Exclusive.

Have a great weekend!

Lolz, no. I never have or done boiling, never have issues with discs cuz I only watch 20% of time on HD DVD compare to 80% Blu-ray this year.

Just follow your heart and you will understand why you made choice when you followed your heart.

Thanks.

First of all that's a beautiful post, Jon.

Second of all it's humbling to hear deaf HD fans like you and Banjo talk with such passion about why you love film and what it means to enjoy the medium on the merits of the picture alone. I think we all take too so much for granted from day to day, no matter what our condition.

I'm glad you're enjoying your movies, and this was a wonderful read.

I second that notion. Great post from a TRUE FAN of Blu-Ray! It's the most real thing I've read & a wonderful endorsement of the format. Thanks for sharing it with us!

I just chose To start Drinking Coke over Pepsi, and I will only buy Doritos, no more Sant Fe Tortilla chips.

And, Colgate can kick rocks...it's all about Crest!
