Default GTA 4 Audio issues

I've tried to search for this, but haven't come across a specific post...

Is anyone having audio issues with the game? Specifically, when I walk aroudn the street and bump into people I can barely hear them - and when talking on the cell phone, I can hear the caller fine -but can barely hear Niko speaking.

Last thing is once Roman and Niko are driving, I can hear both of them fine.

Speakers are calibrated - no audio issues on movies, or other games.

I have the 360 edition, but there's an audio option to change how it views your surround sound profile- where your speakers are located/etc. I'd recommend to check in there to make sure something's not wonky. It's sounding like it's not playing anything out the front center speaker, which sounds like either wiring or an audio profile issue.

There is a way to balance the Background vs. the music withing the game's audio options.

I'm sorry if you knew this and it is obvious, but you didn't mention it and I hope this helps. If, for some reason, you have already tried this then hopefully someone else will have the answer.

Good luck,

Did you check your audio set up in game? you can make certain adjustments for SFX and other things, might have to play with those
