Exclamation Yamaha RX-V463BL

I just bought one this past weekend, but i need some honest opinions of weather it will suite my need, i am going to get the Klipsch Synergy F-3 for fronts and the B-3 for the rears, and of course the center and 10 in sub. Will this reciever get the job done, i only had so much in the budget, i hope it will, but honest opinions needed. I will be set up in my living room which is approx. 17.5x18.

If someone told you it wouldnt get the job done, would you somehow have a larger budget?

The reciever is pushing 105 WPC, which is fine for the speakers you have. Only you can decide if it suits your needs though.

I would not have a larger budget now, but i would have the diffrence in a couple of weeks so there for i would take the one i have back to BB and exchange it if i had to, I dont have the speakers now i am saving for them, so i would put my speakers on hold a little longer to inshure i had ample power to push them. I just want to make sure i bought correctly.

That amp should be fine with the speakers you have in mind. The towers can only handle 150 max so you should be set.

Also do you usually have to recalibrate your TV when you start having things like your Blu-Ray and HD players run through your reciever and then to your tv? it seems like things are a little darker when run trhough the reciever than directly to the tv?

I'm not sure I didn't notice any difference when I ran the HDMI signal through my reciever, but I have a different reciever than you do. My guess is no since the reciever is only repeating the video signal, but its possible. If you think its darker then it won't hurt to do another calibration.

That Yamaha should work really well with the speakers you're pairing it with. Yamaha makes exceptional receivers, and the 463 is a pretty well featured budget receiver. I've owned several Yamaha surround receivers and amps through the years, and they've always done a great job making clean powerful amps. Plus, Yamaha engineers make their own DSP programs for surround modes, and they sound really immersive for movie soundtracks. With the HDMI inputs, and 1080p passthrough, you'll be all set for HD picture and sound from Blu-ray.

I think you'll be pleased.
