Default George A Romero's Diary of the Dead

I have high hopes for this one. Hope it is better than Land of the Dead.

Huge Romero fan, but I'm hoping this isn't a zombie movie filmed "Cloverfield" style with a camcorder.

I like the concept of Land of the Dead. The last of humankind trapped on an island surrounded by the undead. The story to go along with the concept just didn't work.

This looks like an improvement but I hope it's not entirely a camcorder movie.

Whatever happened to the rumor that Romero was going to direct Resident Evil....the first one? I was so pumped up when I heard that rumor. I think with the right budget and screenplay he could have made a proper Resident Evil movie.

I just read that his script was disapproved.

I hope it's back to the story quality of Dawn of the Dead. The only zombie movie to come close to it was the remake.

This looks really good, and should go back to the roots of NOTLD. I believe this was originally for a straight to DVD release, but was so well received, it is now getting a theatrical release. Now all I need on Blu, is Diary, NOTLD and Land Of The Dead to complete my Blu collection.

Which means...who knows when we'll ever get this movie on HDM.
Their absence from HDM is confounding.

I'm I the only that likes Land of The Dead? When I went to see Land of The Dead I left the theater happy.I was so glade that George was aloud to make another Dead film. The movie had plenty of gore that we come to expect from a Romero Dead flick.I meen what's a Zombie movie without the blood?I thought the story was realy good too.I just thought it was a good movie.I've had watched it alot since I had it on DVD.I guess it's just me but I dont find anything wrong with Land of The Dead.
I do hope in the future we get some more Romero flicks on Blu-Ray? I realy would like Warner to do a Blu-Ray release of the first Creepshow movie.A commentary with Stephen King,George Romero, and Tom Savini would be nice on The Creepshow Blu-Ray?

I also enjoyed Land. When I first saw it in the theater, I was like "ok that was not
too shabby". After watching it numerous times on dvd, you see a lot more of the
subtle references to the political state at that time. Exactly why I like his stuff, the
underlying messages.

I didn't say it was bad or that I didn't like it, I just said I hope this one is better, which I guess people would assume that I meant I didn't like it.

My most fond memory of seeing Land of the Dead was when two old women walked into the theater. One had to be in her 70s the other in her 80s. I thought I think they are in the wrong theater. They stayed and watched the whole movie. When it was over and they were leaving, one said to the other, I don't know what kind of movie I was expecting, but that wasn't it. Pretty funny.

I think this film looks really good and I like the idea of shooting the movie from the perspective of the camera. I think it puts a different view on the film like in Cloverfield. I am interested to see how this turns out.

I'm in - I think it is a brilliant idea as it moves along with how the past Dead films have reflected current society. Right now it seems like everything is about reality TV and personal videos posted on MySpace or UTube. The 70's and the rise of consumerism with Dawn of the Dead, the 80's and the Reagan military edge in Day of the Dead. This is something that was missed in the last Dead movie - what did it reflect on?

This looks like one of those quit movies that can turn out to be something a lot bigger when it hits home video.

I only watched Land of the Dead once and I didnt like it. Maybe I was expecting too much. I will watch it again. His movies are the best, the original Dawn of the Dead is my favorite. This looks very very promising.
