This was already released in Australia (and France). I wonder if it will be getting a US release?

I was beginning to think this would never get released on blu-ray. There's some funny stuff in this film.

The booklet is a nice addition. This looks like it's going to be a nice release.

The poster is only included as an exclusive when purchased from 101 Film's store. If it's ordered from Amazon UK or elsewhere it doesn't include it.

I received mine yesterday from Amazon UK, and the transfer looks surprisingly good. I feared it would be an aged Universal HD master, but grain and nice visible detail is there.

I gotta say, it's really pissing me off that I cannot order 101 Films I'm Gonna Git You Sucka via Amazon UK and have it shipped to the US along with Amazon Women. It is much cheaper than the Kino release and looks like it is oh-so-slightly better PQ too.

Was pleasantly surprised with this release. More than worthwhile extras plus a nice and surprisingly wordy booklet. Good if not knock out transfer. A well above average 101 Films release.

However it wouldn't be 101 Films without at least one quality control slip ups. This has two. Firstly the artwork adds 60 minutes to the running time and secondly the deleted scenes and bloopers, on my player at least, had forced french language subtitles. Neither are deal breakers and I'm glad to own this but still...

Also, having sourced deleted scenes all the alternative footage from the USA TV cut would have nicely rounded off the selection.

Yes I noticed this too - I assume 101 sourced/licenced this direct from the already released French BD which maybe already had forced subs on the deleted scenes.... Kind of annoying that the photo used on HMV where I got this from clearly shows the poster included...
Still this is a great release of an old favourite which still made me chuckle. The next 101 release I’ve got preordered is Nightmares so looking forward to that now.

Had you previously owned it on DVD? The lone review on amazon uk for this item had pretty bad reviews of its picture quality relative to the dvd

Just reading it now. The picture quality on the blu-ray is perfectly fine and certainly better than is possible with DVD, I presume the reviewer was watching on a HD Ready rather than HD TV. Yes the opening titles are oddly matted at something like 1:1.60 but it flips to and stays at about 1:1.85 the moment the film starts proper.

As for the type of case, the the running time typo and as clearly listed on the Amazon item profile the Sybil Danning interview is in the booklet not on the disc (I guess like one or two members of this forum Lokii "don't do reading"), seriously who cares? Their issues with the sound are interesting, however I didn't notice. I'll try and remember to give it another spin tomorrow.
