Default Which Studio Brings Out The Best Cover Art

Before I start, I know Universal hasnt "officially" released anything, but most of us have seen the Doomsday coverart, if not, Here it is. But thus far I love how smooth and vibrant (not to sound gay, but its true) WB has made theyre covers. But overall I have loved the coverart Disney has put out.

My favorites from the major studios are

Disney: Natonal Treasure 2
WB: I am Legend
Sony: Casino Royale
Paramount: Flags of Our Fathers (soon to be replaced by Iron Man probably)
Fox: Fantastic 4

That cloverfield one is disgusting, and the Ratatouille is too original. I like the Japanese version of Ratatouille... And I dont think we'll see anything differant from Paramount coverart wise. Universal looks like we'll see some good ones. Im waiting for Transformers from Paramount, but I have a feeling it will be the same as the HD DVD/ DVD 2 discs with the clear slipcover and megatron on one side and optimus on the case

I'm not sure why but I liked Fox covers the most. Although I do like how Sony, Lions Gate and Disney have printing on the inside, but I don't like how Disney and Lions Gate both had that gay foil on the covers, and Sony's spines look stupid. I like how Fox has just that black bar on the bottom, for some reason I think it makes it look a little classier.

SONY have consistently used the original poster art for their covers. Which is something I truly appreciate and hope was the pattern with many, many of the distribs during the DVD era.

I have to say Warner because of titles like Blade Runner, Troy, Twister, V For Vendetta, the Kubrick movies, and 300. Disney has gotten better with their newer covers since they got rid of the silver swoosh across the front.

I expect when Criterion starts releasing, they'll be!

My favorite cover arts of all time are all from them (Red Beard and Rashomon, for example).

I'm curious as to why Disney got so many votes? I personally picked Sony because of titles like Gattaca and Baron Munchausen. In my opinion Disney has quite often put out mediocre cover art (that's probably their biggest problem) -- they've come a long way with getting rid of that swoosh, but I can't think of any cover art offhand that really impressed me from them. Am I missing something?

From Disney/Buena Vista, it's a tie between these two:

From Sony, it's a tie between these two movies:

From Fox:

From Paramount (at least until Iron Man and Indy 4 both come out):

From Warner:

From New Line:

From Lionsgate:
