Default Must have blu-rays even though you got them on DVD?

Which are the movies (now available) you must have on blu-ray even though you got them on DVD?

The ones I decided to order so far:
* Pearl Harbor
* King Arthur

(I recon Bruckheimer movies are especially spectacular on blu-ray)

All my DVDs will eventually be replaced with Blu-ray (unless they are SD material like TV shows).

Well, none so far for me. But soon:

Total Recall
Stargate
T2
Princess Bride
Under Siege

And in the future:

The Fifth Element (8-12 weeks on BD50!!!)
Starship Troopers
Band of Brothers
LOTR
Anything Star Trek
From Earth to the Moon

I'm sure a lot more (sigh).

Hello, my name is Gary, and I'm an HDolic.

Gary

P.S. I lie, I did replace my LD of Mission Impossible. Does that count?

Same here. Unless it's a TV show in SD it'll all become blu.

I will get around to replacing all of them.

When did Band of Brothers get announce for Blu-ray? I missed that one, and it's a must get!

Kingdom Of Heaven: Directors Cut - Even though the Overture/Intermission are gone and there are NO additional features, the picture is phenomenal.

Kung Fu Hustle

Most recent heavy effects movies (comic book movies, scifi), beautifully filmed movies (epics, etc.), and any of my all time favorites.

Favorties like

- Goodfellas
- Pulp Fiction

Beautiful Epics like:
- Braveheart
- Gladiator

Recent heavy effects comic & SciFi like:
- Xmen 2
- Hulk
- Fantastic Four
- Spidey 2
- Batman
- Serenity

And stuff like that.

I go by my star rating system. 4.5-5 star movies will immediately be upgraded to BD, no questions asked. 4-star movies would go on a title-by-title basis. Anything under would probably need to be reference/demo quality for me to upgrade.

'The Terminator' on Blu-Ray is a worthy replacement if you ask me. I have the MGM edition on DVD. I did a comparison of both using PiP (Picture in Picture) where the television is split into halves.

Wow, what a difference. 'The Terminator' on Blu-Ray is far the best condition I've ever seen the movie in considering the age of this flick along with its low budget. Really, it's quite amazing what people can do with movies of this age on Blu-Ray.
