Default onkyo 805 setup (im a nub)

Alright here we go..

I have my ps3 setup via HDMI to receiver and the receiver to the tv, after messing around a bit i got it to work beautifully.

Now my problem lies with setting up other components to the receiver and having them display video/sound.

I have my 360 hooked up via component 3 and red/white audio into game/tv and the receiver still going into tv via hdmi. I set component 3 as game/tv and yet nothing displays.

what am i doing wrong here? I am following the manual which i have found a nightmare. I guess getting my ps3 to display was all luck.

Keep in mind that the 805 only upconverts component to 720P so if your XBOX has HDMI use that. I don't have my manual on me but in the onscreen menu for the 805 under component I believe set component 3 to in3 and thats all you have to do. I hooked up my Wii to Component 1 and I think i set it up to in1 to Aux1 to make it work. Let me see if I can view the manual from Onkyo site....

Welcome to the club... I have done it. Even worse though, I was helping a friend try and figure it out with his new setup and it took 3 days of troubleshooting before we figured it out!!! Of course, those three days involded a lot of alcohol, which could have affected our efficiency in determining the problem.
