Amazon "HD" Discount

I did a search and came up empty.

For those who are still getting the Amazon discount on BDs, did it just go down to 5% from the original 10%? I just placed an order and that's what happened. I'm not sure when it changed as it was my first order in a few weeks.

It was reduced a couple of weeks back.....there was a thread started a bit ago and many confirmed the change. Furtonately I had most of the titles I wanted pre-ordered but moving forward its only 5% and I'm sure it will be 0% shortly thereafter.

I have spent over 8000.00 over the last 6 months with them and I dont get any discount, so I am sure that isnt gonna work.

Thanks all! It was nice while it lasted. At least we still get something. I guess we'll see how long that lasts.

Well at first i didn't think it would happen but the change has really curtailed my Amazon purchases. I'm so glad I had already pre-ordered most of the upcoming titles I was interested in. At this point I'll focus on gold box items as the 5% gold box and my 5% HD will bring me back to the previous discount.

In the end I'm still trying to spend no more than 20 dollars for a blu-ray.

Umm. Shouldn't you just be happy you still get the discount at all? I mean it was supposed to end at the end of 2007 was it not?

If I was a meaner person, I'd hope they cancel your discount all together once you bring to their attention the fact that you're still getting it.

I enjoyed getting the 10% discount but I'm not going to complain about it going down to 5%. That discount probably saved be at least $150 and they took it off the price before discounts, so if you bought 2 $20 titles in a bogo they'd take $4 off. I don't know if I would have gotten as interested in blu-ray if it wasn't for the discount.

I think that Blu-ray.com took the post counts and gave them to Amazon in hopes that they'd restore the 10% discount for the lucky folks who had it. Doesn't seem to have worked yet.

Hey! I am happy and i'm not complaining, what I do buy from amazon usually is a pretty good deal. Sure i'd like to save more cashola, who doesn't.

Please...don't accuse people of lying if you don't know for sure. I did a search in the forum section for "amazon discount" and there were no related threads on page one of the results. And your link came up empty. What did you use in your search? If you do one now for "amazon discount", the only related thread you will see is the one I started today. Why am I wasting my time replying to this in the first place? Stupid! I don't understand why people reply with "repost" or "do search". If you have nothing to add, just ignore it and the thread will die.
