Default D-BOX IMS: Does anybody here own one?

With all the recent releases now including D-Box Codes for D-BOX Intergrated Motion Systems. My question is does any one on these forums actually own one of these arse pummellers? and if so are they actually any good?

Default D Box works!!

I sell these in my store... Yes they work really well, 6 axis chairs plus vibration.
I Love to demo these to people using the Matrix, The motor cycle chase is Killer. When you watch Master and Commander it feels like the house is getting hit with the cannon shots...
That said..
Its a expensive system, with just a couple of chairs, It works really well BUT I dont think I would want to use it all the time........ Sensory Overload!!!! .........

MPDiehl, how do you connect the D-Box controller box to a PS3 or a BD player?

I've been trying to figure out how much they are also. The web site is so vauge, it basically says to find out how much go to an autherized dealer.

I can barely afford "butt kickers" and I'm sure this is at least 10 times as expencive as those!

I also think you have to pay for a yearly service for all the codes. Though it seems with many blu-rays including the Game plan (Rock finds he has a little daughter) (not an action movie don't know why you would move) the codes are on the disk.

If you Googled, you'd find the price starts around US$5000 for a single-seat chair. They do have devices that you can attach to your existing sofa or chairs but apparently it won't work as good.

$13,110 for full motion, $8,970 with one less degree of motion. This site says the chair by itself is $7,000, so I'm guessing that comes out to $6K for a 3D add-on and $2K for a 2D add-on. I assume installion and control box are extra.

You connect the PS3's optical audio out through the D-Box controller and then it goes on to the receiver/prepro.

I own one of the SRP-330 platform for my couch. The experience is not the same as a single seat because sideways it's larger, but nonetheless it is amazing, I don't go to cinemas anymore, I get wayyyyy more at home.

MPDIEHL, you see for me the demo didn't do it. I had to go and watch a full movie and then I really bought into it. I was under the impression that it would always shake. I have to give credit to my salesman, he invited me over one night and we watched Transformers. That was it! It's not about shaking anymore it really brings you in the movie. Anyway, it is an expensive product, but it's worth it. It's not as much as what you have on this article, I don't know if it's because the article is from asia but I didn't pay that much.

For $13,000 I can get a different kind of "full motion chair": A Harley Davidson Sportster 1200.
