Default Bad day

So I stopped by Sams Club today after work and suprisingly saw The Eye on Blu for $25.72.So I take a copy and go to checkout and of course the girl scans it and it says invalid sell so she goes and talks to someone higher up and she comes back to tell me we cant sell it.I told her they shouldnt be on the shelves and she said they were going to take care of it.Then I go to Best Buy to get Million Dollar Baby and Before the Devil Knows Your Dead cause there cheap on walmart.com.I take the movies to customer service and the lady tells me we dont match walmart online we only match bestbuy online even though I matched CC online to get my HDTV there and before I went to customer service I asked a sales rep and he said yes. Thanks for reading my boring story just thought I would let you guys kno , maybe you will have better luck than me.

I've had BB price match larger items like my plasma, but I think that's just because they wanted the "large item" business. I have also had them tell me they won't match anyone's online prices, except their own. When I do pricematch somewhere they usually call the store who I'm matching to verify that store has the item in stock. Even Walmart won't match online prices, including their own. Sorry you didn't get what you wanted, but you're not alone. Don't know if that helps. Tim

Sams should have sold them to you then pulled them from the shelves. Lame.

Default I hear ya...

Well if it's any comfort to you I had a bad day at work and also updated my BDP-S300 to the latest version (3.9) and it still will not play Live Free or Die Hard.

Then I wanted to use my Wal-mart gift cards to buy the Rambo box set plus Rambo 4 on blu and I went to one Wal-mart and they had the boxset but no 4 and then I went to another one and they had 4 but not the boxset.

Oh well, I just had a bad week and now it's over. Next week will be a good Blu week with Signs and There Will Be Blood.

Mike

some stores(company) give it to you for free if you complain to a manager not just a supervisor..

Breaking street date can be a very serious problem for retail stores. If they didn't have these prohibitions in place stores would sell movies as soon as they got stock which is sometimes weeks in advance. The studios have actually fined retailers for selling items before the street date.

yea, same thing when there's no price on the shelf for the product. if its not there, it's free because you are going to trouble to find out what's the price of it. I'm not sure what companies follow this.

i've never heard of that... just cause it's not on the shelf doesn't mean it's not in the system...

no, not that's not in the system, the fact that they don't have the price for you to know before reaching checkout. also, they want to avoid a customer from calling weights and measures about this, and then having them come in and audit for missing tags/prices. they rather loss a few bucks than get hit with hundreds in fees. also, that's why many big stores provide price checkers for this.
