Default Just bought a Samsung BD-P1500 for $287

I went to Circuit City and asked for the 1500. They didn't have one in stock, but they said they can order one for me. I asked for the price and he said that the price is $287. I was blown away. I immediately bought it. I will get the player in a week. It will replace my Sony S-300.

Great to hear.
Please tell us how it compares to the 300 once you had time to try a few movies.
(PQ, SQ, load times, menu differences, you know the usual stuff. )

I just went to Circuit City and ordered mine in the same way. The only difference was, my price was $399.99 - Luckily I had a $40 off coupon, so not as good as yours, but still pretty good. I hope they come soon.

Ive heard of the 1400 now being $300 in places, are you sure you arent mistaken. I find it hard to believe the 1500 is $300.

The 1500 has started out in the Walmarts at $348.00 and was slated to price at $399.00 at BB. The 1400 started out at $499.00 and obviously dropped in price now.

Is the BD-P1500 faster than the 1400? That's the one painful thing about the 1400, even with a CD or DVD the response is painfully slow.

From the time I push the eject button on the BD tray to the time it actually opens, I can grow a small beard.

The 1500 is a bit quicker in response time.
