Default Need Help With First Blu-Ray

Hello,

So long time reader, first time poster. I've been searching the forums trying to find the right choice for a blu-ray player for my parents. Myself, will be grabbing the MGS4 Bundle, the thing that finally pushed me for a PS3. So first off have decided to purchase the player at Wal-Mart to get the $100 Gift Card. Here are my choices:

Magnavox NB500MG9, Samsung: BD-P1500, Panasonic: DMP-BD30, Phillips: BDP-7200, and the Sony *$388, sorry can't remember model number*, PS3.

I opted out on Magnavox due to no ethernet, lack to update. The others I can't be sure though. I went ahead and grabbed the PS3 40gb, but want to actually think this out.

The look was one issue, she didn't like it at first. The internet browsing is a plus. And music and pictures would be a plus to *is this still available in the 40gb* without the memory card readers? And the chance that she'd be able to play DDR if it were to ever come to PS3 *haven't seen much hope for that game coming though*.

The other thought was the Samsung Player from the reviews I've heard on the forums.

Please give me some advice of which choice would be the best of the 6 players. Much appreciated!!!!

And while i'm on the topic, is there any worth while difference for a person to buy those 600-700 players? Just a question that's always been on my mind since the beginning of the blu-rays . Thanks!

Yes the 40GB is still available

I'm sure PS3 DDR will come with the next iteration, whenever that shows
