I bought the 360 because I had a great time with the Xbox and RARE are still one of my favourite devs. Unfortunately my disappointment with the technical side of 360 games continued past the one-year mark and the release of Gears of War and Viva Pinata. Games should look that good and run at a consistent 30fps minimum WITHOUT TEARING. Every big exclusive with great graphics felt like a real struggle for the platform, the 360 Dashboard and Guide have been ugly from the very start and I've encountered the most game freezes and my first ever console replacement with Microsoft's second box. The appearance of a next-gen console interface is so important to me because I'll be using it for another five years. I want something stylish like the XMB which also shows the consoles power with the nicely rendered wavy cloth background, music visualisers, photo album view and simultaneous video thumbnail playing.

I bought the Wii for maybe the best version of Twilight Princess (I'll probably never know if I'd have enjoyed it more in 4:3 BUT with C-stick camera control) and future big Nintendo games like Super Mario Galaxy. I knew there'd be a terrible drought of great games but didn't think the console would get any cheaper by Xmas this year so got it at launch.

Actually who am I kidding? I get every big console and portable at launch now, there was never any chance of skipping on the Wii.

Don't worry I too have a ps3, psp, ipod ................. and 360

(on my third one by the way since the first two died on me)

But no wii for me....

i bought the 360 because I missed out on the whole xbox thing, believing there would be backwards compatibility (boy, did it get screwed on that!)... But I do love Dead Rising on it, though i haven't played the 360 in six months, just no time and when I do the ps3 gets my attention!

Though playing Wii tennis with my son is fun (though i think this whole wii thing is a fad)
