Default Yes, another "help me" HTIB thread =)
Audio is not my thing...but with MGS4 coming out and me about to spend $100 on just an ipod dock (lame) i decided to look into an inexpensive 5.1 HTTIB for my PS3 and ipod.

Ill be able to run HDMI via my PS3 and component via my Cable box...and output HDMI to my TV.

My main question is will the PS3 decode the audio and pass it through the disc changer and give me HD audio at all if i run it through HDMI? Or will the disc changer have to decode the audio?

Forgive my lack of knowledge but i just want to run an HDMI cable from my PS3 to the HTIB, a component cable from my cable box to the HTIB and then HDMI from the HTIB to my TV. Will this work?
