Supernatural Season 4 Error? - Please Help!

Hi there. I noticed a strange error in two episodes of Season 4. In certain scenes a bluish purple line goes across the bottom of the screen. I can only recall one of the two episodes though:

Disc 1, Metamorphosis, timecode: 02:34:01

It shows up in almost every shot the man's wife is tied to the chair in her extreme close-ups and regular close-ups.

The other episode it shows up in (I forget which), the bar is thicker and brighter. I believe it's in a scene with Sam and Dean talking and they are getting close-ups. Again, it only shows up for one of the two brothers (just like the wife in the other episode).

Can anyone who has this season please check out the scene with the wife and check if they have the bar? If not, I'll try to get a replacement disc.

So, you don't have the problem on your disc?

I'm just confused because it's not something that happens for a solid three minutes, for example. I think three cameras are used for that scene...and the line is only at the bottom of the screen for shots done by camera #3.

In the other episode, it's only by shots with camera #2.

I only ask because I have some DVD sets that have a widespread problem through all the sets and the company never made a replacement disc. I just want to be sure before asking for a replacement.

Mine's got the same problem, but I figured it was part of the source. When I had originally watched that episode, I hadn't noticed it. I recently made adjustments to my overscan settings in my TV, so that my TV now displays the aspect ratios correctly, and now I notice it on that episode.

Maybe it is a firmware problem with your blu-ray player. If possible, try the disc on another player and see if it has the same error.
