Default Best deal you have ever gotten

I couldn't find a thread on this when I used the search function, but maybe it is already out there.

When Wal-mart just started carrying HDTV's (all 720p) we went shopping for our first one. I found one that was "open box" for $474 (about $200 off). It was a 28" off brand. I went to put it on a Wal-mart card. While I was away at their kiosk to sign up for the card instantly the guy in electronics got it packed up. When I came back there was a manager there to do an override for the 10% off we agreed on because it was an open box item. The manager typed it in as $4.74 next to the electronics guy (he was distracted at the moment). I asked him if he was sure that was all I owed him and he said yes. I swiped my debit card, typed in my pin and they gave me my receipt (I still couldn't believe this was happening). I said are you sure again, and the electronics guy helped me take the TV out to my car. The guy at the door checked my receipt and let me though. A freakin HDTV for $5. I was so appreciative I bought the rest of my electronics there through the end of the year. Never gotten a deal like that since.

lmao! I'm not the type to say use the Search Function (that's Pinoys job) - but the only reason I post this link now is because I'm the one who created the thread some months ago in the first place!!

...although, rest assured, your deal smacks the crap out of any on that forum! $5!!! For a HDTV! Lucky day, karma! You must've done something good for someone prior!

I don't think I've ever pulled something quite like that off.

Awhile back, I got Panzer Dragoon Saga, an extremely rare 4-disc Saturn game (US release too) for $40, even though it was already out of production. It sells for hundreds today. Fine game, though it's kinda short and you have to be good at speed reading.

Although you have to wonder if the manager that rung me up had an "wait a minute" moment where the lightbulb turned on after I left.
