Default Insight Cable HD

Any Insight Cable subscribers out there? If you live in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois or parts of New York, and if you have Insight cable with HD, please share your experiences with Insight's HD. Is it good? Bad?

Thanks!

Jodi

The overall HD quality is decent with Insight. However, the quantity of channels leaves room for improvement. Calling and requesting new channels does not seem to help. However, Insight did have a survey in which you could select up to five new HD channels that you would like to see added to the lineup. The results are not out yet, but I am expecting a channel lineup change (or add) in July. HBO, HBO2, and SHO are going off analog. This would be a good time to add new channels I would think.

As far as the channels that Insight offers (in Louisville):
NBC
ABC
FOX
CBS
CW
My Network
KET
ESPN
ESPN 2
TNT
NFL Network
HDNet*
National Geographic
Animal Planet
TLF
HD Theater*
Discovery
Universal HD*
TBS
MHD
HDNet Movies*
HBO+
Showtime+

* HD Pack purchase required
+ Subscription required

Also, Insight will only give your local channels without buying a digital pack, plus the DVR monthly cost, which is on top of the normal Classic service price.

All in all, you will spend about $85.95+tax for all HD channels, plus your internet or phone services if you want them.

Its not a bad deal, but would definately be better if there were more channels to choose. I personally would rather have Insight than a satellite, so I would tell you this is the best way to get HD. Hope this helped.
