I hope they make the PS3 and 360 versions equal this year. I love playing NHL08 on the PS3 but the 360 version certainly got more love (and advertising) from EA.

They need to work on the AI. I found that when you increased the level, the opponents didn't get better, you were just handicapped more. Makes for a very frustrating game. It would also be nice if you could score more ways than just putting it off a post/crossbar or the five hole.

No way! The 360 Version was waaay smoother. It had a much better framerate, 60 fps. The PS3 version was fine to play, but you really did notice a difference when playing the two. I hope they get it right this time around. I'm really hoping for 60 fps on PS3.

Madden and NCAA Football also suffered on PS3 for some unknown reason. They will be 60fps just like the 360 versions this year.

ps: itll probably play like last years version too.

Yep and I'm the sucker that has bought most every version since the 1st one like 15 years ago.

I do have to say though that NHL08 on the PS3 is by far the version that I have had the most fun with out of all of them.

I buy EA games (football and hockey) once every 2-3 years. Its the only way I can justify the purchase.

However I buy a new baseball game every year. However, i always see quite a bit of difference in each version.

Wow, reading through this makes the game sound great. I will be picking this up for sure. Great find! EA sports consistantly makes good NHL games. I can't wait to play the demo for this years version.

They seem to make the game sound great, but always introduce new issues which lead to frustration. I want there to be true battles for the puck, which I'm hoping they'll accomplish since they are supposedly working on the dump-ins.

the defensive stick should have been added in 08. I had no idea why you couldn't use your stick to move it around like that before . NHL2K6 had it for christ sake. I enjoyed that they also had a mode so that you could press down on the thumbstick and the icons showed up over the player, made for much easier passing during powerplay

That being said , the pro mode sounds pretty cool as well. I just want better frame rates and these new additions and i'll be happy. BUt if there are framerates mistakes again, i'm going to be really pissed

I agree. 2K6 was more advanced. NHL08 looks better than all of them.

Yep that is my next most wanted feature. I want to be able to have a complete online league and have a fantasy draft to fill the rosters. How sick would that be?

My other one was having a career mode which they have announced WILL be in this years game.

They have also said there is a surprise new feature that will revolutionize the game so MAYBE thats fantasy draft

From my understanding they used the 360 as the main development system due to a bigger installed base and just ported(half assed of course) to the PS3. Now that Peter Moore is with EA I wonder if this will have any kind of an effect on the PS3 version.

Did any of you shmoes ever hear of something called "Boycott"?

If it's not 60fps, don't buy it. You'll see how fast the company putting out the game fixes it.

Well they are all going to be 60fps, so I guess I'm going to buy them. Well, with the exception of Madden.
