Default HD-DVD petition: are they serious?!?!?

http://www.petitionspot.com/petition...tudio_Support/

Has anyone read this garbage in its entirety? I invite you to do so. It's pretty hilarious.

Some of this stuff is true about BLU-RAY when it first launched. These expensive players and 25GB MPEG-2 issue is a not an issue anymore. For one thing for $499 on can get one of the best BLU-RAY players on the market. The Sony Playstation 2 has sold over 2 million units. New BLU-RAY movies are using 50GB discs with MPEG-4 compression which provides better sound and video quality then 30GB HD-DVD movies using MPEG-4 or VC-1. We should start to see excellent reviews of the BLU-RAY movies now. In the early days Widescreen review noted problems with the early releases but that was in the past.

That was written October 6, 2006. A lot has changed since then.

Yes, they were/are very serious. It's kind of scary, actually.

It was made by rdjam and his MS funded ilk. What more can you expect. On a side note, I read on their website that you can use the same email to sign the petition twice now, so that means the average person has now signed that petition 6-8 times (most people have 3 or 4 email addresses), so really there are only 500-700 people that have actually signed it.

Heh, don't you mean: What LESS could we expect?

Ridiculous. You can imagine that a hardcore zealot like rdjam has probably personally done that himself dozens of times, if not more.

Pathetic.

The sounds of desperation. They have nothing left. Disney and Fox were not born yesterday and they know whats going on.

I even read what was on their fanboysRus site the article mentioned. Nothing but half-baked lies from biased dunces.

At the very least. Some of these guys are so persistent and so quick to switch to new avenues of silliness that you'd think they were on the payroll.

But, Microsoft would never stoop to those tactics (again).

think about it, it says "70,000" hd dvd players in homes, since the launch of the PS3, sony annonced they've hit the 1 million mark in north america. thats why XBox brought out the HDdvd add-ons, to give they a fighting chance.

That's truly amusing. A bunch of outright lies and delusions, as if the studios and corporations - that have millions, if not billions of dollars on the line - don't know the the actual facts of what is going on.

Just grabbed this from a very confused teamxbox.com poster. You really would think that nobody would be as stupid as to say this. And yet...

Heck i even have the HD DVD player too. It seems that HD DVD is going to win the format war since the Pornography industry decided it was going to with HD DVD.
Hilarious.
