went off the hill to best buy and costco today. while at BB, i decided to check to see if any ps3's were around. getting out of my car, i told myself i would not get one since i didn't really have the money. well, i did see 5 60gb versions so had to pick one up. damn!

Congrat! I have seen 6 PS3 60gb at Best Buy today. But I am delaying my purchase toward it, building my High Definition library,and store up my fund toward PS3. I have 9 Blu-ray movies and PS3 blu-ray remote. I always like get things ready before I get a hardware.
When I get PS3 later this year, I will have enough movies to watch on PS3.

BTW, so, I really hope that you will enjoy your PS3 and it will be your best experience by watching High Definition movies on PS3 as Blu-ray.

ok, so been enjoying the ps3 for a few weeks now. i will say that it is a fantastic piece of equipment. i did have a few issues with the new firmware (1.50) but it seems to be working fine now. anyway, personal review time.

audio: so far the sammy and ps3 are on par. i am running both off of optical cables and letting my receiver do everything. so, there really can't be a difference between the two.

video: the ps3 does provide a sharper image. obviously the sammy had the NR issue and all that. not to dig on the sammy, because it puts out a phenomenal picture. but the ps3 is simply clearer and sharper. easy as that.

boot up: no contest. sammy takes approx 1 min to 1:30 to boot. the ps3 will boot to picture in ~20 secs in a best case scenario. plus, it has a very cool startup sound .

anything else ur curious about, just ask.

i'd reccomend the sammy or ps3 to anyone, but given the choice the ps3 is a first rate piece of equipment.
