This isn't new you know, it was the promo for when Season 7 should've aired back in Jan 08. This was on the Season 6 DVD set

Thanks for the heads up. I did not know that. For some reason the last few days a bunch of these have popped up on Youtube all posted/date stamped within the last 72 hours.

Do you know anything about the prequel airing in the fall??

I'm sure I'll still enjoy the new season but the trailer has looks rather lame. I feel like I'm watching a rehash of a couple of Die Hard movies I've already scene.

All I know is it's supposed to air on Nov. 23rd and they're still filming it in South Africa

That has been around for a long time, I'm glad we've got SOMETHING though. It lost a little edge but I'm hoping this season redeems itself. No matter what I am still a die-hard 24 fan! (no pun intnended)

That is grand -- marked my calendar. I purposely held off the Season 6 set or any of them for that matter, hoping for BLU releases, but at this point I guess I would be just thrilled to get season 1 by years end on BLU

As you obviously know and appreciate what I am hoping for in S7 and has been typical of the show thus the genesis of why it is so good---- they generally appear to tip their hand in the very first couple episodes and you think you have things figured out as far as villains, motivations, etc. But the tip turns out to be a tease when all of a sudden, bam, that particular story line is over and we are only into like the 4th & 5th episode. At this point, the plot takes a complete twist and their is a much bigger picture and a complete new cast of villains come into the mix. A great example is the numerous story lines that played out leading Jack to his father's company and their ultimate showdown. Its really crazy actually. Most shows would just drag the initial one premise out for the entire season.

This is one of the reasons why I liked Season 6 so much.

I love how they can chase 1 villia/try to stop 1 sort of terrorist strike disaster then BAM!!! Everything totally unravels and things get totally out of hand. At that point when Jack kicks it into high gear the show gets so much more intesting and I LOVE IT! Season 4 gets really out of hand within the last 5 episodes.

No doubt -- season 4 and how it played out was ridiculously good. I really have forgotten allot of the time frames and story lines because as I mentioned I am waiting to watch them all again on BLU and actually have not watched any of the previous episodes but in HD on TV in real time.

I think the season 5 ending was amazing and turned in to the most brilliant cliffhanger of modern action television. Everything seemed so calm and the good guys were victorious/celebrating and then Jack gets that infamous "phone call" and the longest day of his life just got allot longer

on that note i thought 6 had some great shockers, Season 5 i think was definetly the best out of all of them but 4 comes DAMN close... 3 took way to long to get going 2 was predictable and season 1 just started it all

I seriously hope they don't pin this up against Heroes like they did last year though (because 24's ratings were really hurt by it imo).... well, I don't really care.... I guess that's why I bought a dual-tuner HD-DVR!

That is a pretty good cliff note summary. I completely missed season 2. I would really have a tough time choosing which season was best between 4,5,6. I was a little surprised at how season 6 actually ended --- meaning it kind of really did; there were some things to still wonder but unlike 5 where you were totally blown away and complete stunned.

Nice on the dual tuner What you would really have to do is go back a few seasons and see what 24's house hold ratings #'s were over that period of time to contrast. In S6 head to head against Heroes it held up just fine in the consistent high 5ish low 6ish # range.

If we had data or numbers from the past that would really give you a more concrete idea. Yes Heroes started off the block with great ratings, but that trend did not hold up at the same level and started progressively dipping throughout the season and actually towards the end became disappointing but Heroes did make a push in the season finale, however 24 won that on that particular night of finales.

I am also willing to bet that Heroes picked up allot of folks that do not watch 24 in the first place as well.

good for you...It's like crack for me and I've watched all of the seasons twice over the last year. Can't WAIT for more Bauer. I love the scenes in the trailer where he cocks his gun, and then when he is about to torture that guy. I also like how he's telling the guy in court how it is. It gets me pumped when he's got Tony in his sights...you know hes going DOWN!
