Has NCAA Football 09 received the same "improvements" that Madden 09 has received? - Blu-ray Forum

I've read a couple of articles that seem to indicate that NCAA 09 has received the same overhaul that Madden 09 has. However I also know that NCAA seems to always lag behind Madden development just a bit.

Can anyone tell me for sure whether NCAA will have the same improvements this year that Madden does? More specifically...

Will it have the new graphics overhaul with better stadiums, lighting, textures, character models, etc that Madden is getting?

Will it have new color commentators like Madden 09 is getting?

I don't think anyone could be sure about this one until we actually see it. I'm really hoping for a great NCAA game this time around. However, EA has an extensive history of dumping on PS3 owners.

NCAA and Madden are running at 60fps this year for the first time on PS3.

Yes I knew about the 60fps, which is great! However I was just wondering about all the other improvements that Madden is supposed to be receiving this year. I wonder if NCAA will look just as good because I much prefer college football over pro.

I read last year that was not possible...

BTW, will there be any reason to buy NCAA 09? I mean will the graphics be a mojor or minor improvement? The loading times made some modes unplayable in 08 ... will that be fixed (ie legend iirc)?

I played a game of it a few weeks ago and was dissapointed again.

Should be worth the purchase if they actually get it running at 60fps.

I went out of my way to not purchase this game last year specifically because it didn't get any love from EA.

This is one game I've been buying on my 360 the last couple years and I'd love to buy it on PS3 this year if it's up to par with the 360 version.

ncaa football has sucked since about 05... i still buy it, but if this one sucks, i think im done, i just keep waiting for it to play better, and they never get it right.

I've always though, and still do, think they should have the different commentary crews for different regions. Kind of like ABC has a Big XII game every week, and then the Big Ten and there's the ESPN crew, and the big time Saturday night game with Herbie and Musberger. That way no two games in a given week of a dynasty have the same announcing crew (except for ESPN's Thursday night game and a Saturday game). Of course that would actually require EA to have even an inkling of initiative to update/overhaul the announcing, which they haven't done since what, 2004?
