Blu-ray Cleaner

I see that Maxell makes a blu ray cleaner disc so I went to Best Buy this weekend to check it out. I was told that any of the old Maxell cd/dvd cleaners (which were the only ones they had in stock) would work just fine for a blu ray player. I don't really trust Best Buy, but I wouldn't put it past Maxell to just come out with a similar product that said Blu Ray on it- so, does anyone know the real answer?

i just use sunglass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Like the kind you buy at sunglass hut for 4.99. works great.

I think he meant for the player. Discs shouldn't require that much maintenance.

OP guy from best buy is probably correct. All the discs really do is wipe dust off the lens. Assuming the lens is the same distance away from the disc as on a dvd or cd player, then any of those would work fine.

I have that Maxell one and I like it. The difference is this one does not have a little brush on it so there is no contact with the lense. It uses a rush of air to blow off the dust from the lense.

I'm probably going to buy the Maxwell one. Yesterday I watched a brand-new dvd and blu-ray and both of them froze at some point. If it was just one I might assume it was the disc but two different formats makes me think it's a problem with the PS3.

I'm looking for one just for CD/DVD (or BD) that works in slot loading machines (i.e. the PS3...and more importantly, my car). What one are you talking about that uses air?

i though you guys were talking about renny harlins new movie, cleaner... which actually was released here in Finland as blu-ray few days ago =)
