Default Question about Sony's 1080p X-series tv's

I am interested in the Sony KDL40X2000AEP. It is 1080p capable.

I was wondering what the FPS rate is. I cant seem to find this information.
I live in Europe, PAL region. As far as I know, PAL is 50 Hz.

But my question is, when I will play a PS3 (1080p) game, will it play the PS3 game on 60fps? 1080p60 is the spec for 1080p PS3 game.

I mean, is this tv 1080p60 capable, if it is required? And at what framerate will it play BD movies?

Thanks alot.

This is a link to the tv:

It is a UK site, but I live in Holland.

As far as i know, 1080p has it's own seperate refresh rates as well as 1080i or 720p. The HD signals are supposed to be all the same all over the world i should think, but on the subject of the particular TV you've chosen, if your sitting at a certain distnace, you may not be able to see the leap of quality 1080p can bring.

Somwhere on the forum, somebody posted what distance you would have to be sitting to notice the quality of 1080p, IMO you should look at that to see if the TV is actually right for where you're going to sit and view this TV from.

I think the TV you've chose has great specs but you might want to get the bigger size model if it's not the right size for your sitting distance, that is of course my opinion if you can afford to get the other models based on two factors, the budget you have for the TV and the size of the room you're putting it in

The TV is dual mode, it has one for NTSC style 60fps stuff and PAL 50fps content. It will detect and change mode accordingly.

No, but the refresh rate really doesn't matter for gaming, it is the response time that makes a difference, luckily this has a 7ms response time which is pretty good.

ALL BRAVIA X-series TVs are multi-system (incl. US, Europe, Japan, whatever models).

PAL, NTSC, SECAM, you name it
