Default Can PS3 do Bluetooth headphones?

A couple questions.

1. Is it possible for PS3 to output Blu-ray movie sound to Bluetooth stereo headphones

if so
2. Is it possible to have PS3 output both HDMI and Bluetooth sound?

3. Is it possible to turn the Bluetooth output to Mono?

4. If they all are possible, what are the settings (other than pairing the headphones)

Reason I ask; My dad is deaf in one ear, and has limited hearing in the other. Mono sound is very importaint to him, but the rest of the household would want full range sound... Stereo is limited use because he will miss half of what is going on, and IR and Radio headsets suck ass.

that'd be interesting to know.. you would think so since you can use a headset for games.. i imagine u would just need to turn the headset on when watching movies

If you need to get the PS3 output into a monaural setup you're probably going to need a receiver that can handle that. The PS3 always wants to produce at least 2 channels of sound.

Unless you're using Sansung Sound bar with a bluetooth Subwoofer, why in the world would you want to out but your audio via bluetooth?

Um, he explains exactly why he would want to do that in his post. Try reading the whole thing before asking stupid questions.

I should also add that because of his hearing loss, he ambiant noise in the movie from surround sound confuses the signal to his brain (to put it simply). So, he uses mono to be able to pickout dialouge and still get some effect of what else is going on.

He used to be a HUGE HUGE Audiophile, has a whole workspace I built his where he can still screw around with that stuff, so he digs Blu-Ray and what it can do for my mom and sister (who live with him) but it gives him pleasure

Just trying to figure out the best way to get him great picture and mono sound, while the rest of the group can have full range.

If you have your PS3 connected to your receiver, try one of those wireless headsets. I think your receiver will always downmix for the headphone output to stereo.

Use a stereo-to-mono jack to connect to the wireless headsets. Ideally the headsets should also have a built-in volume control.
