Default All tower speakers!? (Part 2)

X-Ninja had a thread going that got my interest a while back. I think it was locked due to some bickering.

Well I am now in the "ATS" gang. Picked up some Klipsch RF-62's the other day and now I'm rockin'. Movies and music sound incredible. Powered by Onkyo 805. Thanks for all the info and to those who swayed me. Couldn't be happier!

"NIN: Beside you in time" BD sounded wicked. The Cell dvd was insane. Talk about immersive!

I've been mentioned!

Well, i basically completely forgot about the idea of all tower speakers to be honest... Most of the people on that old thread told me NOT to do it for multiple reasons that i didn't quite understand in any way at all. I may have to re-think the tower thing now though...
What was the total cost with all the speakers and such? . Cant be cheap...
Well, anyway - Glad it sounds good. I still do need to upgrade my back speakers no matter what.

Yup I remember a lot folks that seem knowledgeable say not to do it. So far I'm happy. The Best Buy near me gave me the 62's for $500 since they are clearing them out. I couldn't resist!

Here is my setup. My couch is in the middle of the room, and I have identical tower speakers for my surround left and right. They are behind the couch up against the wall. They sound great. It was cheaper for me to get all towers than to get stands or wall mounts and spend alot of time setting them up.
I have all my speakers from Home Theatre Direct. They all match.

Very nice, but you shouldn't put your speakers in the corners like that. They should be at least a foot or out from each wall, and not the same distance from each wall. Putting speakers in corners is a recipe for muddy, boomy bass.

Just went the the HTD site. Those are nice looking speakers you have there. And the price seems great. Is that your first set from that company? Looks beautiful!

Yes this is my first set. I had 30 days to test drive them and they would have given me a full refund and paid the shipping to get them back to them. They paid shipping for my order. After listening to them I loved them. The towers and c.c. are level two's and the sub is a level 3.
What initially got me turned on to them was just reading about their quality and customer service on their website. When I saw the look of the speakers and the dark cherry finish placed a order after talking to one of their reps a couple of times nice people.
The bases for my speakers were not done when I ordered mine as they do small runs of their speakers. I had a issue with a birthday party for my son and not all the hardware came with the bases on a thursday night. The party was on saturday. They sent them out fed-ex saturday delivery. I have 5 nephews and I was afraid they would knock the over.
Anyways I am very happy with them and would order more speakers from them again. Can't say enough about thier excellent customer service either.

Wow, sounds like a great company. The finishes on the site look incredible. Good job man!
