Default Is collecting Blu-rays an addiction?

I'm up to 175 titles now and it's growing. I am driving my wife nuts who gives the quote: "Why do you spend so much money on movies you don't have time to watch?" She makes a valid point only in that there's only so much time to watch 175 movies. But, it's addictive to collect HD movies and having your all time favorites with almost perfect picture and sound is tough to pass up.

Do any of you have a similar addiction that drives your wives/husbands crazy?

I have a small addiction that basically started this summer but considering I'm 19 I don't have a spouse to annoy me. So, yay.

Respond by asking her why she has 200 pairs of shoes when you only have 1 pair of feet?

Yes it can be an addition just like collecting anything else.

That's true. If it were up to me, I'd have a lot more, so I consider myself a little patient.

trust me, they've spent much more on purses, clothes, and shoes than you've spent on blu-rays, clothes, and shoes. it's science.

Its not as bad as when DVD's first came around... i bought everything just to collect.. and about 47% of them i never watched they were just collecting dust.. so ive been more careful now with Blu's and only buying what has replay value to me.. i made a list of catalog titles i want that aren't out on Blu yet and its around 52 titles i want for Blu it will take a few years im sure that they get a transfer and who knows if some of them will.. so from here on out if their are no new movies i like ill be stuck around 140 Blu's.. but thats never the case.. especially since im waiting to purchase Toy Story 3, The Expendables, and Inception

For me its difently an addiction but thanksfully for me I'm almost legally divorced so no more having to ask the B!%#$. If I can get it or not. I'm single and the only thing Ive got to worry about is if I have enough money after geting it to pay my bills.

Heck in the this month alone I have bought 4 movies, two I'llbe gettting next week, and have one being shipped to my local BB store then picking up another wiht it for their 2 for 20 deal. SO all in all in the past month or so I have bought 8 movies.

NO its not an addiction lol.

If some people have an alcohol or drug addiction, then having a Blu-ray one can't be that bad.
