Is there any advantage a Sony XBR TV would have over this one (other than size)?

I think in 10 years.. i will be buying one of these.... I am still paying off my LCD and really can't afford one of those yet anyways. In a decade they might be in my price range.

The XBR doesn't have 1 million:1 contrast ratio. The XBR is a lot cheaper.

as pc monitor ah, u either sit 100 yards away or have a VERY wide face and have your two eyes placed on each far end of that very wide face!!! lol it's plasma, it will be OLED, not Plasma, it cannot compete with LCD let alone once SONY can make larger and cheaper OLED, SONY always thinks ahead, PS3 with Bluray anyone? oh yeah... it's a SONY

This Samsung 52 inch 1080p 500,000 contrast LED TV has apparently been out in the UK for like a month now and its strangely gotten zero attention anywhere. I also heard from a friend that he couldn't find it at CES.

If companies want to sell this to the average consumer, they need to make it bigger, and cheaper. Once more major companies get into this market, then we should start to see price drops. No competition = High Price to gain as much profit as possible. A lot of competition = Low price to outsell the 'other guy'.
