is it just me or does the hot picks no longer work right for amazon? - Blu-ray Forum

In order to just get BD in my hot picks I would eliminate everything non-BD from being used for recommendations and when something non-BD was recommended for me I would mark it "not interested." This worked great and my hot picks were always just BD. But now it just seems to ignore all that. Maybe it's cuz I have marked too many things as "not interested"? Any1 have a clue? TIA

My quick picks has stayed the same for like a week - I also own 4 out of the 6 items already and have it marked as being owned - ya I love this movie so much I will buy it twice??

So I'm not alone! Same exact thing happening over here. I figured it'll just fix itself over time like when some of our Quick Picks completely disappeared a few months ago.

My hot picks have been ignoring my settings lately and choosing mostly non movie stuff. I asked Amazon and they have no idea why.

Amazon sometimes likes to not give you anything from your recommendations. I think it is random occasionally where items will show up out of left field for me like patio ware and none of my usual hot picks show up. It is done on purpose I guess for marketing reasons.

I had all and only Blu-Rays in my quick picks for the last 2 months, then last week or so it just crapped and put cables and books and stuff in there based on things I looked at, even though they are all marked as do not use.

Mine has been updating every day and usually there are 7 items, 6 would be movies and the other a video game.

I did go through a phase where they put household items in there for about a week and I couldn't figure out how to get those out of there.

You must turn off your history/previous viewed list. Happens to me, I had to click on every Blu-Ray related first, before changing "my quick pick".

Same thing has been happening to me. I started to rate everything not BD as "I hate it" and now BDs are starting to reappear in my Goldbox.
