PS3 video noise help - Blu-ray Forum

i'm new to the hd blu-ray world, i have my ps3 conected to my tv via pelican hdmi cable but in the dark areas of the screen (when black is displayed) there are small distortions. is this because of the hdmi cable i'm using or is it something else....this does not happen when using my 360. help please

is it only in the areas that are part of the movie or is it in the black bars at the top and bottom too??

does it have color to it? such as green and blue?

k so before i go any further... my understanding is that you're seeing colorless distortions on the black bars when watching movies on the PS3?

yes, and on the black screen between loading times (when you first put in movie/game before playback starts)
