Default sc-05 vs. 03txh

this is probably a stupid question, however, when comparing these two models side by side (specs) the sc-05 does not decode simple audio like dolby 5.1 etc. where as the 03 does decode all old plus new codecs....i am wondering what happens if i am watching a non blu ray disc that is 5.1 dolby digital, how does the 05 process that sound as? i know the 05 has more bells and whistles but is it really worth twice the money?

It does do them, they just don't have it checked. You will love the SC05, its an amazing receiver.

The cheapest ICEPower multi-channel amp by a mile? Yes, I reckon it will be worth much more than twice the money. Apart from the lack of 10 channels, a second HDMI output and an LCD screen, many folks on AVS consider this to be close in SQ to the SC-09TX.
